Who is responsible

DANIEL BUSINESS SUPPORT LTD runs Laptop Sorted and is responsible for any personal data described here.

Your answers and saved results

Your answers and up to 12 saved results are kept in your browser’s storage on your own device. They are not sent to us, and we cannot see them. You can delete them at any time with “Delete my answers from this device” in My results, or by clearing your browser data. Backup files you download stay with you.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our fonts and images are served from our own site, so loading a page does not contact other companies. When you follow a link to a shop, you leave our site and the shop’s own privacy policy applies.

Amazon links

Links marked “Compare on Amazon (paid link)” carry our Amazon Associates code. If you follow one, Amazon records on its own site, with its own cookies, that you came from us, so it can pay us a commission on qualifying purchases. We do not receive your name, what you bought or any other personal details from Amazon, and nothing is recorded on our site. Amazon’s privacy notice applies on Amazon.

Our hosting

Our website host, Hostinger, keeps standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to keep the site secure and working. We use them only for security and for fixing problems, and the host deletes them after a limited period. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

If you email us

We use your email address and message only to reply and to keep a record of what we discussed. We keep them only as long as we need them for that. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your personal data, and ask us to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. Email hello@laptopsorted.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, for example when we add payments for Pro or links that earn a commission, we will update this notice and the date above first.
